4 ejercicios con silla fáciles y súper efectivos

Your chair as a gym: 4 easy and super effective exercises

Who would have thought that a simple chair could become your best training partner at home? With it, you can work on strength, mobility, and balance without any extra equipment.

Today I’m sharing a routine of 4 chair exercises, easy and super effective, to activate your whole body.

Get ready, grab your chair, and let’s go together! 💪😊

Balanceo abdominal + toques atrás en cuadrupedia

Sit on the edge of the chair with your feet firmly on the ground. Gently lean your torso back and lift both feet as if they were floating. Breathe calmly.
When you come forward again, place your feet down and your hands on the floor, moving into a quadruped position. Keep your back long and your core engaged. From here, alternate small kicks backward with each foot, trying to touch the chair seat.

Do 8–12 reps, 3–4 rounds.

Benefits: activates the abs, improves stability, and strengthens arms and glutes.
Tip: Imagine your ribs want to get closer to your hips with every rock — your core will activate naturally.

Sentadilla búlgara con apoyo en la silla

Stand with your back to the chair and gently place your right instep on the seat. Feel your weight settle into the supporting leg.

Lower down slowly, like a small squat, letting your hip bend. Exhale as you go down. When you come back up, push strongly through your heel, inhale, and lift your arms overhead to stretch your whole body.

Do 12 reps per leg, 3–4 rounds.

Benefits: strengthens glutes, hamstrings, and improves balance.
Tip: Don’t rush — go down slowly and really feel your supporting leg doing all the work.

Patadas laterales y hacia atrás con apoyo en la silla

Stand facing the chair and place your hands on the seat. Keep your back straight and pelvis aligned. Slowly lift your right leg to the side up to hip height. Take your time and feel the work in your glutes. Do 8–10 reps and switch sides.

Then repeat the same movement backward: push the heel up, toes pointing down, and hips square.

Do 8–10 side kicks + 8–10 back kicks per leg, 2–3 rounds.

Benefits: tones glutes, improves hip mobility, and strengthens hamstrings.
Tip: Go slow and with control — the slower you move, the more your glutes will burn.

Puente de glúteos con pies sobre la silla

Lie on your back with your heels resting on the chair seat. Knees should be slightly above hip level. Relax your arms at your sides and press your shoulders firmly into the floor.

Press down strongly into the chair with your feet and lift your hips, vertebra by vertebra. Stay up for 4 seconds, breathe deeply, then lower slowly, controlling your spine until it rests back on the ground.

Do 8–12 reps, 3–4 rounds.

Benefits: strengthens glutes, hamstrings, and improves lower back stability.
Tip: Imagine lifting each vertebra like beads on a string, one by one, until you’re fully up.

Conclusion

With this routine of chair exercises, you’ve worked your abs, glutes, legs, arms, and most importantly — your energy! 💪

You don’t need anything complicated: just the desire to take care of yourself and a chair to support you. Breathe, smile, and repeat this practice several times a week.

Always listen to your body and enjoy the process. A chair can be your personal gym if you use it with love 🪑😊.

See you in the next practice, full of strength and smiles!
